"A Mind Trip"

Dreaming my dream one day to the next,

stagnate, but slowly coming to life...

Oh, fair one, you are what I looked forward to this day,

but the time came and duty served.

Time creeping, thoughts pondering,

the bounty came up for your return,

the return to my imaginative forest out yonder.

Rational excuse befell and all was well,

then the call released and my brain starts to swirl.

Trudgen on the mossy ground a will-o-wisp flutters by.

Eyes set upon it, eyes change color, pupils enlarge.

Time for a walk down this path of my mind...

Two small hikes later and you're gone.

A mind shatters with thought and gloom.

What did I miss, what did I not see?

The pieces start to fit together like a puzzle.

Calm is serenity, you're doing what is needed.

Even if the answer is muddled in the murky puddle...

"Another Repeat"

Oh how funny is the word,

the title, the connection.

Is it all a game?

The re-run has drawn me out,

please let me out I ask,

as the stress and damage is too much.

Little regard for the desires of wealth out of the world.

Times three have I done such to get what in return?

Oh, give me the strength, dear God, to stand strong and firm.

Your last stained night comes.

Behold its glory, freedom and righteousness!

"What Ghost"

Oh fair maiden, what doth you not comprehend? How I wish she did.

Once filled me with fright, and times of how I almost died.

Backtrack to a point, and he destroyed everything in its path,

a sweeping emotional tornado rifling through my life.

But the one is right behind to help restore, if but alone for a while.

You were destiny, my first thoughts when awake,

or fallen upon a bedrock in your forest.

You made me tremble, the touch of love..

I speak to her now, as the past claims, to defend and love.

There are no boundaries to which we cross, influential negative cross-waves.

To hold to your values, despite others, is where to aim, if not but to dream,

for the one knows your heart, and whilst change is everywhere in some form,

the good lies in forgiveness, and it trickles down the cave -colored red- for my mind.

It is not welcoming, but then you paint your childish charm over me and I cry inside..

The international dateline continues for we are all one unto him, and to say otherwise is folly.

Hoping you will understand.

"There's a ghost in me. Who wants to say I'm sorry..."

"No Walk in the Park"

So many words from the mouth...

Oh, how I know that my path is set,

but still with its twists and turns, gifts to open.

So it stands, disrespect and berate.

Trifle on my plot, I know you have a deep heart,

so let it bleed, be childlike, and the world opens unto you!

Something like you've never seen. Time it takes to stand and listen,

but the reward is everlasting and great; you're overcome.

Still I hear your voice, the one I knew, but you no longer possess.

It's been overcome with the attractive, but deadly, play which bears you deep.

I keep my arm out to you with the sun, so turn around.

You're gone! It's not easy, but it is worth it!

"Brightening Sun"

Searing through the storms of life,

I realize I am a bird slowly flying out.

I've lost the flying V, maybe only had a ghostly image...

Ever stubborn and resilient, I'm searching for the real deal.

Knowing anything can happen, I return to the nest to feast.

Darkened moon peers from the clouds, and the sun is risen.

After tasting of it and finding it good, I bask in the rays.

"My Gift"

Unwrap yourself from this spherical prison,

and stand there to await a greeting. No one answers.

Or knock and meet the light welcoming you.

Tell me words again, I'm not scared.

Every day waiting in line, what is the time?

The watch falls and times slows to a crawl.

Why are you sleeping? Tomorrow's world unfolds.

I'm not understood, but one day maybe.

What a charade this act plays, but the truth hides.

I keep on exploring, I am mine own runaway.

Get in the hot air balloon, take off and fly,

maybe walk or run, make a sugary mix!

It matters not, but the sick lingers still.

Ignore them once, but not twice, why whisper?

Take my hand and shout your joy.

My mind explodes with shattering colors!

What a surprise...

"The Weight"

Bitter and numb grips the mind, lying under the open and gazing sky.

Feeling the air slip around me and the earth clasp my weight.

The mind burns and scars unleashed, fury whipping.

What is the weight of that last regret?

Walking in the park just the other day, what was seen?

Feel, touch, bind me, then walk away and leave me.

"I've eaten the sun so my tongue has been burned of the taste."

"From Behind"

Wanting to go back, can I not try?

Is it in vain to even think of?

climbing this ladder out of the hole I put myself in,

it seems there's no top in sight.

Deceit grips in plans, can you speak?

Still I climb, slowly ripping the chain from skin,

bleeding, exhausted, hanging with ounces,

succumbing to waves of dreams unfolding.

Endure to the end and accept the course,

for in wishing doth destruction reign.

In its time, it could be great and worthwhile,

off to new heights, the hole specks.

The sky unfurling fangs, an auditory trump to measure.

Watch out from behind.

The time's near, can you hear?

Can you see the frightened ones?

How about the falling bombs?

Pain lingers on.

"Fast Feet For Progression"

Running in bare feet on a path

I run faster and faster

lungs burn and heart beats fast

Hear a cry from somewhere

Cannot see, but listen

The voice cries out, "Slow down!"

Wondering why, take heed

Begin things step by step

a base foundation I shall take

"A Heart So Hollow"

Shy and belated, wandering alone through my years with occasional companionship, uncertain of what may come, until one day I happen upon a place of my dreams and only of what I have heard of from other travelers and warriors.

A forest filled with beauty, ancient trees, streams of sparkling clear water, with fairies to welcome my presence.

As I walk along a path in awe of surroundings, I find a princess so dear and pretty she blinds my eyes of her beauty.

We learn of each other and know each other and give each other many things. Quests we embark on, weakness overcome.

She has given me much, and awaits her turn, but I am unable to speak. I cannot fathom the love to be had, until one day and more thereafter I tear away to leave this forest, questing with thine heart so hollow.

Tests and fights with dragons and wizards I go through, only to be beaten and scarred. Defeated. Still I live, and my experience fills me, that of what I am uncertain.

Travel about, to enter unto that place filled with fairies, trees, and waterfalls, the magic I remember. I find the princess making lovely songs, a flower in her hair, a finagle of fairies taking care of her hair.

I go unto her and say that we meet again, fair one, for I am in need of healing by your words and touch. My battles and time away has left me wounded and drained me, not heeding such words from others met.

She brings continuous love, and we journey to faraway places, proceeding to progress. Falling back to her forest, with sweetened words for each other, only a short time later I tear away again to seek that which I feel I need.

She wonders when I will learn to acknowledge mistakes to overcome. On a bridge to someplace great, she utters silken, hurt words that still I cannot comprehend, for I am weak and too adventurous.

Still blind to see, but know within my heart for shades of gray have painted my mind and I become sicker still. The mind has power over my heart when reverse ways it will to be.

She practices patience, love, with no rest, for tomorrow may be the day she longs for best. But that day never comes, for the warrior's urges compel this man to leave. She looks upon with saddened eyes.

As departure commences, parted words reveal I may not come back alive. She turns and ventures to find her healing band.

As she and her forest disappears on the horizon, I find my best armor was left in her possession. Ever confident, I go, trusting my skill to fight nearly naked against a dragon of skill spread words. What creature is next?

Months go by, and I have conquered and been defeated. Still unfulfilled for a full heart is a farce, missing the love of the princess.

Acquired riches grant new armor, complete with wisdom. Ooh, graft it to my body, given by a higher power, a man I happened upon that I knew before.

Traveling homeward, the familiar land greets me, the Princess' domain, and as the forest creeps closer, heart beats faster, as if butterflies  and the mind races.

Wonderment and longing make capacity's limits overcome and old fairy friends welcome with surprise and sad eyes.

There is a noticeable difference in the air, once enriched with a magical flair. Certain that I will find myself in dismay, for I had chances before, and wore perseverance thin.

The princess I see is still a sight to see, and the organ in my chest near explodes with happiness, but the difference in the air, with a knowing of what I fear envelops me.

She allows me to come forth unto her and spill my adventures and my heart. Emptied, she responds.

She reveals she is on a different path and has loved me enough in that sense, and advises me to seek out other forests.

The air's different vibe held true, and I hold no anger, for I left without her too many times, in search of that which was unfulfilled angst lust. Her heeds went unnoticed.

Buried sense and regret deep down, to hold a light up, warily I travel on, with at least some part of a love always in the depths.

We bid adieu, and as I meander along the forest's edge, I look up and see the clouds heading westward. Laying down to rest, for my journey is setting still...
